Immersivus Gallery Lisbon

To put it simply, the Immersivus Gallery in Lisbon is an immersive and high tech light show within an old reservoir.

The Mãe D’Água das Amoreiras Reservoir basically becomes a giant canvas, projecting a light show in a 360 degrees display around the walls of the reservoir.

Spectators can enjoy the show from the standing audience area surrounding the reservoir or from the water platform, which offers seated viewing of the show.

As of 2024, there are three main shows being held at the Immersivus Gallery and projected inside the reservoir:

1) Impressive Monet

Impressive Monet is a fresh perspective on the works of the pioneer of Impressionism, Monet. The show focuses on the exploration beyond the canvas and the obsession Monet had to capture the essence of light.

2) Brilliant Klimt

The exhibition explores the life and artistic impact of the Austrian artist, focusing on his iconic masterpiece, “The Kiss.” This renowned painting serves as the central theme throughout the journey, allowing visitors to delve into the various influences that shaped Klimt’s artistic world.

3) Misterioso Egito – “The Mysterious Egypt”

This show presents artefacts and artwork from ancient Egyptian culture, transforming them into a spectacular display of light, design, and laser technology.

Immersivus Gallery Location and How to Get There

The Immersivus gallery is located centrally in Lisbon, making it in easy reach of some the city’s main attractions, with Belem Tower and Jeronimos Monastery just 7km away.

The best way to reach the gallery, which is situated in the Mãe D’Água das Amoreiras reservoir is via public transport.

If you decide to take the tram, it is best to catch number 12 and 28 trams, which stop within 5/10 minute walking distance of the venue.

Furthermore you can also catch a Carris bus (number 734) which also stops a close distance from the Immersivus Gallery.
