Benfica Stadium Tour Overview

Estádio da Luz, located in the Benfica neighbourhood of Lisbon, is the home stadium of S.L. Benfica, one of Portugal’s most successful and popular football clubs.

Renowned for its modern architecture and vibrant atmosphere, the stadium has hosted significant football events, including the UEFA Champions League Final in 2014.

The guided tours around the stadium offer a great way to get behind the scenes of one of Europe’s biggest football clubs.

The tour guide is excellent, answering any questions you may have as well as explaining each part of the tour in great detail with some excellent anecdotes about former players and managers.

There are multiple photo opportunities on the tour, with options of getting a photo in the changing rooms alongside the players shirts and kit, or even sat in the dugout.

At the end of the tour you are given two small souvenirs, a scarf and a fridge magnet which really emphasises the value of the tour, and is a nice touch.

There is also a museum section of the tour which is well worth it, and unlike any other stadium tour I have been on – there is actual history within the museum and it’s an excellent way to finish the excursion – thoroughly recommended.

For more information on the what is featured and how it all works you can check out the official website.
